Historically, the fall months have always been the busiest for us here at the Brampton Inn, especially October. The crisp cool weather, the colorful leaves, pumpkin pancakes…all of these are reasons enough to explain the surge in visitors. But it may also simply be that there is soooo much going on throughout October. I mean, just look at this list:
Turner’s Creek Fall Fest
Rock Hall Bike Fest
Grand Re-Opening of the Prince Theater, now the Garfield Center for the Performing Arts (to me, it will always be the theater formerly known as Prince …)
Chestertown Wildlife Art Exhibit and Sale
Ghost Walk through Chestertown
Schooner Sultana Public Sails and Downrigging Weekend
ALL of these events are happening in October, and ALL the information you need can be found here.
And it’s not just festivals that abound in October. There are concerts and lecture series at the College that are open to the public too. First Friday of course…and even a “vintage glider show” at the Massey Aerodrome!
We are almost completely booked for each weekend in October at our romantic Maryland Bed and Breakfast, so if you are headed our way, be sure to check and see if there is something going on that interests you. My guess is there almost certainly will be.
