Wish I could join you.............The lazy, but special life of a pussy cat. I speak from experience, because I have one named Teegan, who has his own special spot in our home to lounge and rest, but yet keep an eye on the going ons of the cul de sac - up on top of my quilt rack in the living room window!! Saw your tweet & followed the link to your blog. When I saw you wrote about the Philadelphia Flower Show I had to second your recommendation. At the end of a long winter (as a Phila native) nothing is more welcome than the sudden burst of color and scents that greet you when you enter the venue. The time & effort that go into this event are unbelievable! More than just flowers are on display - they haul soil, sod, and components such as landscape rocks, stones, timbers and even small buildings. All this work goes into creating actual landscapes that feature a wondrous mix of flowers for all seasons. The Phila Flower Show restores our hope that spring is, indeed, close at hand. In days past the Flower Show was held in the Civic Center in the vicinity of West Phila's U of Pennsylvania. The new Convention Center borders Chinatown so the day promises to be a feast for all of the senses. Here in SW NY state there's still a foot of snow on the ground and as tempting as I know the Flower Show to be I cannot steal away for the 8-hour trip. The High Tea was delicious and we enjoyed every bite of the meal with pleasant conversation with friends we made while we were there. What a sanctuary. What a treat! Looking out the window at the red, pink and lavender of the setting sun. Listening to the geese fly over calling to each other. Watching Slipper trying to decide if the door will open upon strong cat wishing. Floating in warmth. Of course, the cottages are simply wonderful, tub included.
