Learn the fundamentals of basic sailing on a Chesapeake Light Craft Passagemaker™ with Captain Wendy Costa, owner of Sassafras Sailing Excursions and Lessons, Llc. Captain Wendy holds a USCG Master's license for a 50-ton inspected vessel. She has spent part of every summer boating the Upper Chesapeake Bay.
The packages start at $670 for a 2 nights stay with 1 day of sailing lessons for two and $950 for a 3 nights stay with 2 days of sailing lessons for two, including picnic lunches to take along. Tax is additional.

Explore the Sassafras and Chester Rivers and their tidal creeks on Maryland’s beautiful Eastern Shore in a Hobie Mirage Adventure Island™ sailing kayak. Learn about the natural and human history of the Chesapeake Bay – North America ’s largest estuary. Observe and photograph wildlife from a stable boat that you control for either a half-day or a full day. Decide whether to pedal, paddle, or sail. Go fast or meander.
