National Music Festival : Chestertown, MD

If you’ve had just about enough of snoozing in the shade, or sipping something on the porch; swinging on the swing, or meandering the streets; dining al fresco or sneaking another cookie; relaxing, re-connecting and rejuvenating:  basically of all the things folks come to the Brampton Inn for . . .

. . .then how about a dose of culture?  We’ve got a big event coming up that may be just what you’re looking for.

The National Music Festival is a two week long event bringing together world class musicians and their gifted apprentices.  Rehearsals take place all over Kent County and are free and open to the public.  Many take place on the beautiful campus of Washington College.  There are several concerts, a few of them are free as well.  From June 1st to 14th, there are events going on all day everyday.  It’s really nice to have some mid-week activity going on in our quaint little town!

This is the fourth year for the Festival and each year we have had guests simply rave about the performances!   We’ve even been honored to have been the Chestertown lodging of choice for a few of the performers.

So, if you’re looking for a relaxing yet stimulating getaway, look no further.  You’ve just found it.
